About the Role

Due to continued expansion, TST Group is seeking a forward-thinking, solution-driven Nightshift Transport Planner to join our team at our Ballymena Depot.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is proactive, flexible, and committed to delivering excellence in a dynamic logistics operation.
Key Responsibilities

Plan load activity based on priorities (orders, location, etc.)

Monitor customer requests, allocate jobs, and issue instructions
-
Keep up to date with transport issues and adjust schedules as needed
-
Communicate fleet availability and updates to the wider team
-
Liaise with drivers and colleagues to ensure timely collections and deliveries
-
Pre-brief and de-brief drivers on nightly runs
-
Record collection/delivery statuses and escalate discrepancies appropriately
-
Troubleshoot transport-related issues in real-time
About You

Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)

Exceptional attention to detail with excellent administrative abilities
-
Able to work well independently and as part of a team
-
Flexible and adaptable in a high-pressure environment

Excellent time management and workload prioritisation
-
CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) is an advantage but not essential

About the Role
We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Class 1 HGV Driver to join our growing team. In this key role, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient transport of goods across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and excellent service standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Transport goods to designated delivery locations
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance
- Plan and manage routes to optimise delivery schedules
- Safely load and unload cargo, ensuring secure placement during transit
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status or delays
- Comply with all traffic laws, company policies, and health & safety regulations
Qualifications and Experience
- Valid Class 1 HGV licence with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a Class 1 driver preferred
- Strong knowledge of road safety and transport regulations
- Excellent time management and the ability to work independently
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach

- Troubleshoot critical transport-related issues in real-time
What We’re Looking For
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and administrative accuracy
- A team player who can also work independently
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-moving environment
- Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
- A Transport Manager CPC is a plus, but not essential
